Reading a policy doesn't mean being able to work by it. Threshold turns company documents and lecture notes into a course after which a person applies the rule in a new situation, not just recognises it in the text.

For companies: onboarding and policies

Example: a bank brings new tellers on board. A newcomer skims the 120-page policy on day one, and two weeks later makes a mistake on the first non-standard transaction. Here's how the same policy works in Threshold.

  1. You upload the policy

PDF, DOCX or MD up to 300 pages: cash-handling instructions, a service standard, a starter pack for newcomers. Scans work too.

  2. You get a course without an instructional designer

Topics, examples, tasks and checks are built from your document. Every claim links to its page in the policy. You confirm the doubtful parts yourself before staff ever see the course.

  3. The newcomer learns instead of skimming

They recall the rules on a review schedule until the rules stick. They solve tasks in the spirit of the real job. Two weeks later they get a new situation that wasn't in the course and apply the rule in it.

New rules came out? Upload the document again, and a new module appears in the course. It works for any document people have to act on: product rules, service standards, safety requirements, internal processes.

For universities and lecturers

  • Lecture notes or a handbook become a course for the whole cohort: students recall the material on schedule, not the night before the exam.
  • The course grows with the semester: upload a new lecture, and a new module appears.
  • Every claim leads to a page of your material, so the course doesn't drift away from what you teach in lectures.
  • The course is private: it doesn't go into the catalog, and you can only join by link.

What we'll discuss when you join

Right now one course can be shared by link with 30 participants. For a larger group, for a report on which participants passed the checks, and for payment by an organisation, write to us: we'll fit it to your task.

Who else we'd be glad to hear from

  • Experts and course reviewers

You know the subject and can check catalog materials or point out what's missing. We build the courses; your role is to make sure they have no mistakes.

  • Media, bloggers, communities

You want to tell people about Threshold, make joint material or offer it to your audience.

  • Integrations and investors

You're proposing a technical integration or a product partnership, or want to discuss investment.
