Terms of Service
These terms are a contract between you and Threshold, Tajikistan (“we”), for your use of Threshold. Signing in with the code from the email means you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What the service is
Threshold is a web service for learning: catalogue courses and courses built from material you upload. Courses are split into topics with lessons, scheduled review, practice tasks and a check after two weeks. Catalogue course material is produced by the platform with AI models and goes through checks.
2. Account
- An account is created on your first sign-in with a code sent to your email.
- You are responsible for access to your email: it is how you sign in.
- At sign-up, a user confirms that they are 18 or older, or that a parent or legal guardian agrees to the registration. The service is not intended for children under 13: if we learn that a user is under 13, we delete the account and its data.
- You can delete your account at any time in settings; data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Free access and plans
- The first block of every course is free, with no card and no time limit.
- The rest is on paid plans. What each plan includes and costs is shown on the plans section and applies at the time of payment.
- Subscriptions are sold and paid through Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), our authorised reseller. It issues the receipt, handles taxes and is responsible for the payment; we do not receive or store your card data. Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase. The term, the price including taxes and the renewal rules are shown before you pay.
- You can cancel renewal at any time on the subscription page; the period you have paid for stays active until it ends.
4. Refund policy
Within 14 days of your first payment and of each renewal you can get your money back without giving a reason — write to support@threshold.day. Paddle sends the refund to the same card. This does not limit the consumer rights your local law gives you.
5. Your materials
- By uploading material for your own course, you confirm that you have the right to use it and to pass it to us for processing.
- You keep the rights to what you upload. You give us the right to process it to build the course, show it to you and to anyone you share the link with.
- We do not use your materials to build courses for other people.
6. Answers and AI
Some materials and checks are produced by AI models. They can make mistakes: if you notice one, press “report a problem” on the screen and we will check and fix it. The results of practice tasks and two-week checks are a list of criteria you met, not an assessment of you or your abilities.
7. What is not allowed
- Uploading material that breaks the law or someone else’s rights.
- Trying to get around access limits or loading the service with automated requests.
- Sharing your account with other people.
If you break these rules, we may restrict your account and will tell you why.
8. Liability
The service is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it running without interruptions or errors, but we do not guarantee any particular learning result. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the last paid period, as far as the law allows. Some kinds of liability cannot be excluded by law; then this limit does not apply to you.
9. Changes to the terms
We may change these terms. We will tell you about material changes by email or in the service at least 7 days ahead. If you keep using the service after they take effect, they are considered accepted.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Tajikistan; mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live still apply to you. Let us first try to settle a dispute by correspondence: write to support@threshold.day. If that fails, a court decides under the law that applies to your case; a consumer may also go to the court where they live, where the law allows it.
11. Contact
Questions, complaints and requests: support@threshold.day. We reply within 10 working days.
